It is now 2009 which means a new year and a new you. Since 2009 is the year of judgment I feel it is only right that your appearance follow suit. In this new year, it is extremely important that you realize the power of a first impression- as it can last only a few seconds but the memory can and will last a lifetime. It is up to you how you portray yourself to those who do not know you. It's like I say, sometimes it doesn't matter what you know but who you know and how you looked when you met them. People will only treat you as well as you present yourself to them.
With that being said, I have 15 items you want to check out to stay in style from January to August of '09 as I will be back with a second list come August.

Ladies, when shopping be sure to pick pieces that come with a shape. It will fit you better and give you a more tailored silhouette. Unless you are looking to buy a box shaped jacket, dress, shirt or skirt, paying attention to details will always take you and your dollar a long way. It is also okay to mix matte with shiny and bright colors with flat colors- this mixing and matching allows for a more dynamic look.
Ladies and Gents, have fun with your look this year. Switch up your normal routine. Fashion allows for daily re-creation and shows how we choose to present ourselves to the world. Stay fly and happy styles.
